Cameron Harrison is an multi-media artist based out of Statesboro, Georgia. His paintings are depictions of a slice of life: snapshots that toy with optics, the immediate desire to label known symbols, controlled explosions of color in an effort to depict moments of enjoyment. Harrison uses long-drying acrylic paints that allow him to toy with the foreground and background by blending colors in subtle gradations. His recent works have ventured back to using line work to distinguish shapes in sometimes chaotic arrangements.
In August 2015, Harrison graduated from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art, minoring in Graphic Design. Since graduating, Harrison has: worked as the Art Director for a brewery; operated a screen printing shop; created thousands of pieces of art with children; directed hordes of children to upcycle found objects into award-winning-parade-floats; traveled all over the country playing deafeningly loud songs about platonic and romantic love, anti-capitalism, and his cats; recorded over a hundred songs in his bedroom; booked hundreds of shows across the country; made some good curry and picked up many cats on the street.
